Curse

So I was wandering through the Depths of Madness the other day, in my search for the Ravager of Dreams. As soon as I left Abaddon's Gate I thought "something's up"...something wasn't right...it's as though I didn't recognise the place although I'd been there several times before. I killed a few groups and saw the first res shrine then realised...the monsters that were usually there...weren't. There was lots of shadow army and margonites, but no torment creatures as there had been previously.

So I made my way to where I'd killed the Ravager before, the first time I went to cap his skill....I entered the old Temple of the Six Gods, killed a group of Margonites and then something lynched us from the side...I turned around...and it was the Ravager.

I look around the temple and see no Topo the Protector, who had been sitting by one of the shrines every other time I'd ventured down that way...went into the portal area....no Consort of Ruin, but at the far end was the Master of Misery. Every other time I'd been into the Portal area the Consort of Ruin had been patrolling up and down.

This morning I check Guildwiki to find that all the maps have been changed displaying where the bosses are to be found...one curious one is one someone posted for Topo the Protector:

(for clarity, I found Topo at the place Aberrant80 reported him at - not at the place he is reported to be at now)

So...am I going mad? Or have the boss and monster positions been altered? Is there any particular reason why this has happened?

Yeah this happened a while back Celest, When Hardmode came out The difficulty in ROT was reduced to make normal mode easier for normal players and to to make sure hard mode wasnt insanely difficult (as it would have been with the previous level of spawns)

It was in the same update that FINALLY moved most of those damn Shadow guys out from right in front of the portal in the Domain of Pain...

Oh cool...I've not been to the Domain of Pain since the update evidently..I didn't know that was "fixed"... nice to know I wont g et lynched next time I step out of that portal

Only once or twice did I survive that initial onslaught, ironically, one time was with my Mesmer and Heroes.

Mesmers ftw?

LOL my typical quote every time I took someone with me to go get that treasure or whatever:

"OK, we're gonna die as soon as we zone, but it's ok, we'll res outside."
